श्री ताम्रपर्णीमाहात्म्यम् has been written in manuscript by विद्यारत्नम् N.Ramasubrahmanya Sastrigal, residing at Suttamalli, a village near Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, with the help of palm leaf manuscript obtained from Andi Vadyar, Tirunelveli. That manuscript written by विद्यरत्नम्, has got the blessings of Sringeri Mutt and Kanchi Komakoti Mutt. विद्यारत्नम् has composed श्री ताम्रपर्णीसहस्रनामावलि: with a copyright publication which is available with विद्यारत्नम् ।
श्री ताम्रपर्णीमाहात्म्यम् is a portion of शैवपुराणम्. It consists of 6400 verses divided into 64 chapters. विद्यारत्म्नम् श्री रामसुब्रह्मण्य शास्त्री obtained this work in palm leaf manuscript from Aandi vadyar of Tirunelveli. Mr.Sastri made a rough copy in paper manuscript. His desciple Mr.K.Bhoothanathan made two paper manuscripts one in Tamil and the other in Devanagari script and handed over Devanagari manuscript to his Guru and the Tamil manuscript is kept with K.Bhoothanathan. The following is the tranliteration done from Tamil to Devanagari script by K.Bhoothanathan with the help of his family members which consists of his wife B.Visalakshi alias Vasanti, son Mr B.K.S.Gokul, daughter-in-law Usha Meenakshi, grand daughter Visalakshi Aashrita and grand son G.B.Aaditya Sairaj.
