திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்

ஓடும் கவந்தியுமே உறவென்றிட்டு உள் கசிந்து
தேடும் பொருளும் சிவன் கழலே எனத் தெளிந்து
கூடும் உயிரும் குமண்டையிடக் குனித்தடியேன்
ஆடும் குலாத்தில்லை ஆண்டானைக் கொண்டன்றே.

ODum kavan^thiyumE uRavenRiTTu uL kacin^thu
thEDum poruLum civan kazalE enath theLin^thu
kUDum uyirum kumaNDaiyiDak kuniththaDiyEn
ADum kulAth thillai ANDAnaik koNDanRE.

Meaning:
Considering only the (begging) bowl and loin cloth
as the associates, melting inside, being clear that 
the material to pursue is only the ankleted feet of 
shiva, the shell and the soul ecstatically dancing
I, the slave, got the Master of thillai Who Blissfully
dances!

Notes:
1. The chief minister of the pANDiya empire has 
also the capability to dance ecstatically just having
the begging bowl and loin cloth! All that matters is the
Feet of Lord shiva!

2. kavan^thi - loin cloth (kOvaNam); kumaNDai - 
ecstatic dance; kuniththal - to dance; kulA -
