தம் பானை சாய்ப்பற்றார் என்னும்
    முதுசொல்லும்
எம்போல்வார்க்கு இல்லாமை என்னளவே
    அறிந்தொழிந்தேன்
வம்பானார் பணி உகத்தி வழி அடியேன்
    தொழில் இறையும்
நம்பாய் காண் திருத்தில்லை நடம்பயிலும்
    நம்பானே.

experience. You rejoice the service of new 
comers, but You don't favor even a bit the
service of mine, who has long carried devotion to
You, oh Our Lord Who dances in the holy thillai !

1. People don't hold their pot carelessly that it
falls and breaks. Oh Lord why do You hold me 
so loosely to become a useless one ?
2. cAyppaRRAr - cAyap paRRAr; vambu - fresh/new;
iRaiyum - even a bit; n^ambal - favoring.
