வெந்த வெண்ணீறு அணிந்து விரிநூல் திகழ்மார்பின் நல்ல
பந்தணவும் விரலாள் ஒருபாகம் அமர்ந்தருளிக்
கொந்தணவும் பொழில்சூழ் கொடிமாடச் செங்குன்றூர் நின்ற
அந்தணனைத் தொழுவார் அவலம் அறுப்பாரே.

Meaning:
Adorned with burnt white ash, in the chest shining with
long thread, having the nice lady with the finger holding
ball, to one side of the form, the Kind Hearted, Who stands
in the koDimADac ceN^kunRUr surrounded by the gardens of
flower clusters, Him, those who worship cut off their misery.

Notes:
1. The earth is worn by Mother shakti as a ball in Her ring.
That is why She is referred here as pan^thNavum viralAL.

2. aNavum - adjoining; kon^thu - cluster of flowers;
