அடுத்து வந்த இலங்கையர் மன்னனை
எடுத்த தோள்கள் இற நெரித்த ஆனையார்
கடுத்த காலனைக் காய்ந்ததொர் ஆனையார்
கடுக்கை யானை கண்டீர் கடவூரரே.

aDuththu van^tha ilaN^kaiyar mannanai
eDuththa thOLkaL iRa n^eriththa AnaiyAr
kaDuththa kAlanaik kAyn^thathor AnaiyAr
kaDukkai yAnai kaNDIr kaDavUrarE.

Meaning:
The Elephant Who crushed down of the king of ilangai,
who came in rogue way, breaking his shoulders that 
lifted (kailash); The Elephant the showed fury on the 
time (death) that showed harshness (on mArkkaNDar);
The Elephant with konRai is the Lord of thirukkaDavUr.

Notes:
1. In this full padhikam, appar addresses the God as 
the elephant.
2. kaDukkai - konRai.
