thirucciRRambalam

Explanation of song:

The merciless fellow when picked up with his
rugged hand the holy great mount of God,
One staying with umA, who put down
the head of the finger (toe) breaking the
ten glittering heads (of rAvaNa) that
Munificent at thirumazapADi always gives
boon only.

Notes:
1. The word "viraRRalai" is nice to note.
The intention of God was not to destroy him
there itself. appar beautifully puts, "If He had
intended that way, there would be no body to
even disagree!!" (managanAy UnRinAnEl
maRiththu nOkkillai)
2. Lord shiva is highly merciful. (One of the
key tenetss of shaiva siddhanta as part of
eNguNam). Hence It is called Asutosha.
(Easily pleased).
3. oL - splendid.
