Meaning:
The deep skies, land, large ocean, hills included
all the seven worlds ruined everywhere,
with hands folded on their head the assembly
of the himayas (divines) hailing and praying
(to protect), cutting off the body of the
thAraka in the run, dancing - cooling off the fury
that stood - that Great Dancer, the Dancer of fire
His Feet - they are our refuge !

Notes:
1. The purANam narrated here is that of dArukAsura.
The demon who harmed the devotees and the world
was killed by the God. His place is called dArukAvanam.
Here stands one of the jyOtirlingam - nAgEshvarar.
(nAgEsham dArukAvanE. The listing of 12 jyotirlingas
could be found at /temples-lord-shiva-temples-of-india/12-jyotirlingas-temples-of-lord-shankar )
Please note that dAruka mentioned in this purANam is
different from the tAraka killed by shrI skandha.
2. This padhikam is called dasapurANam. Out of the
eighteen purANas 10 sing the glory of Lord shiva
very elaborately. They are 1. shiva, 2. bhaviShya,
3. mArkkaNDEya, 4. linga, 5. skandha, 6. varAha,
7. vAmana, 8. matsya, 9. kUrma, 10. brahmANDa.
Since this padhikam takes some of the key stories
from these purANas, this padhikam is known to be
dacapurANam.
