Translation of song:

Doing grace, taking into fold, showing here
for the mean (myself) the nice thing,
giving great grace, giving only joy -
other than Your (thus) glory is there any better glory?!
Oh the One Who has taken abode at thiruppUvaNam
where the market streets are next to the tidal banks
of vaigai that comes down falling marudhu, aracu,
strong kOngu, agil trees, stealing the wealth of the mountain!

Notes:
1. thirai - tide; maruN^gu - side; AvaNam - market street.
