Meaning of Thiruvachakam

You have abandoned me, who gets into agony,
repenting for my own faults,
whether I criticize or praise You!
Oh the One with the Shine of the red ruby hill!
Oh the One Who governs me!
Oh the One Who ate the fierce voracious destructive poison
showing mercy at the petty lives,
though should have been offered the ambrosia!

Notes

1. At times we hail God; Some other times, we
scold, rebuke the Lord in our pain. Is the fault
lie with God in these cases? No. Whatever we do,
the truth is we are suffering from our own faults.
The all merciful Lord shiva is eager to uplift us
and relentlessly working for that. Unless we correct
and orient ourselves right, we cannot enjoy that Bliss
It offers. Till then we get inflicted by our own
shortcomings and in pain we malign the Gracious Lord.
The Lord tolerates all these abuses and still showers grace!!
This is hailed by meykaNDAr as "nOn thAL" - the forbearing Feet.
c.f. 1. aththA un aDiyEnai ....... karuNai irun^dhavARE - thiruththANDakam
     2. thiN^gaL cUDinarEnum thiripuram eriththanarEnum
eN^gum eN^gaL perumAn pukazalathu ikaz pazi ilarE - cambandhar
2. vEcaRuthal - agonize; thEcu - shine; kAythal - fierce;
Alam - destructive poison; kaDaiyavan - rightful.
