Explanation of stanza:

"Oh the Ambrosia Who ate the poison from the mouth of the tidal ocean
to save the mass of celestials who were the servants!
Oh the Immaculate Who wears the charming blue-poisoned snake
Who is not seen by the long (viShNu) and four faced (brahma)!
Oh the Meritorious Who pleasantly gave the life of cupid
who was burnt to ash, when rathi pleaded!
Oh the Lord of picturesque thirumarugal surrounded by
the floral gardens of brimming fragrance!
Save!", saying so..

Notes:
1. A merchant who was promised by his brother-in-law
to give one of his daughters for him to marry, was
continuously cheated by the father. The youngest of the
daughters unable to bear him being cheated every time
came out of the house with him to get married.
The honest youth who were upholding their dignity
before marriage, were sleeping in a hall at marugal.
