Meaning:
I won't sing as a devotee, Oh the Supreme, the Supreme Yogi.
With what can I make devotion ? Don't sneer at me.
Oh the Bondless ! the Prime One ! Dancing in the hall of thillai
Apex One, to see Your dance, (I) the slave has come.

Notes:
1. The most humble saint, whom the God Itself gave the
name thirunAvukkarasu, who is himself the example of
devotion, is worried about the imperfection of his devotion
that the perfect God may scoff at. As the well grown paddy
bends down its head, this sage of highly matured devotion,
whom we devotees look up to, is looking down at his own
shortcoming of devotion to worship that Perfect Being.
He says to God, "Don't ridicule at my devotion thinking
I came to worship You. I just came to see Your dance !"
