ஆமலி பாலும் நெய்யும் 
    ஆட்டி அர்ச்சனைகள் செய்து
பூமலி கொன்றை சூட்டப் 
    பொறாத தன் தாதை தாளைக்
கூர்மழு வொன்றால் ஓச்சக் 
    குளிர்சடைக் கொன்றை மாலைத்
தாம நற்சண்டிக் கீந்தார் 
    சாய்க்காடு மேவி னாரே.

Meaning:
As the leg of the father who did not bear with, when
bathing (God) with the milk and ghee that surge from the cow,
hailing, adorning with the blossoming konRai -
was thrashed with an axe, the Lord Who took abode
in thiruccAykkADu gave to the virtuous chaNDIsha
the konRai garland blossom from the cool knotted hair.
