Am exhausted, oh Lord, hold me up!

Explanation of song:

Oh the One with bull, Who out of mercy
joined and took me, the lowest, into fold!
You left (me) off! Oh the One Who has the
skin of the valiant tiger! Oh the King of
the lasting uththarakOcamangai!
Oh One with entwined hair! Am exhausted!
Oh Master, hold me up!

Notes:
1. The maturing devotion should lead to this
surrender - like that of a child with its mother.
It is not the hug of the child that makes it safe,
but it is the hugging hands of mother. However
the hug of the child gives it the joy.
c.f. mAaham brahma nirAkuryAm| mA mA brahma nirAkarot||
     anirAkaraNamastvanirAkaraNam me astu||
           - chandoga shAntipATam
2. maNivAsagar hails the matted hair of the Lord
in this song. Isn't it that chaDai that held up the moon
who had drowned into gloom, held up ganga
for bagIratha who was in all pains and was refuge
to the snakes from garuDa!
