ಆರಂಭವ ಮಾಡುವೆನಯ್ಯಾ ಗುರುಪೂಜೆಗೆಂದು
ವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಮಾಡುವೆನಯ್ಯಾ ಲಿಂಗಾರ್ಚನೆಗೆಂದು
ಪರಸೇವೆಯ ಮಾಡುವೆನಯ್ಯಾ ಜಂಗಮ ದಾಸೋಹಕ್ಕೆಂದು
ನಾನಾವ ಕರ್ಮಂಗಳ ಮಾಡಿದರೆಯು ಆ ಕರ್ಮದ ಫಲಭೋಗ ನೀ ಕೊಡುವೆ ಎಂಬುದು ನಾನು ಬಲ್ಲೆನು
ನೀ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ದ್ರವ್ಯವ ನಿಮಗಲ್ಲದೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕ್ರಿಯ ಮಾಡೆನು
ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೊಮ್ಮಿಂಗೆ ಸಲಿಸುವೆನು 
ನಿಮ್ಮಾಣೆ ಕೂಡಲಸಂಗಮದೇವಾ

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 I will begin in order to worship the guru;
I will get into transactions in order to worship Linga;
I will serve others in order to offer to the mobile divines;
I know that looking at the vivid karmas I do, 
You will give the fruit . enjoyment of that karma;
I will not utilize the material You gave for anything else;
I will employ only on Your purpose;
I swear on You oh Divine of Kudalasangama!

 Notes: 

1. Imagine, you have gone to the engaged state with the
Blissful Lord Shiva. There are no other thoughts / aspirations!

Now, why would you come back to the worldly things?

Well, the devotee makes the first thought to salute the guru.
The worldly transactions are taken up in order to worship the Lord shiva.
Serving others is to channelize the goods to the welfare of the devotees.

Other than serving the God, guru and devotees,
what is the use of materials. 

The truely devoted swears here saying, I have no business 
to use the material provided by You, oh Lord, for any other purpose.
