திருஞானசம்பந்தர் அருளிய தேவாரம்பண்    நட்டபாடைதலம்   திருப்பிரமபுரம்முதல் திருமுறை  திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்  தாள் நுதல் செய்து இறை காணிய மாலொடு தண் தாமரையானும்நீணுதல் செய்தொழிய நிமிர்ந்தான் எனது உள்ளம் கவர் கள்வன்வாள் நுதல் செய் மகளீர் முதலாகிய வையத்தவர் ஏத்தப்பேணுதல் செய் பிரமாபுரம் மேவிய பெம்மான் இவனன்றே.  திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 The Vishnu, who kept his forehead towards the Feet (as the boar)

in order to see the God and the Brahma on the cool lotus,

stretching out to see, the Lord, Who is the Thief of my heart, stood up!

Starting with the ladies of bright forehead, the whole world hailing,

the Lord of Brahmapuram Who protects - Isn't He this One?

 Notes:

 1. n-uthal - forehead; vAL - bright.  2. Brahma and Vishnu are great divines of excellent tapas, due to whichthey are the foremost in the divines. Even for them, God Shiva is not simpleto explore when they seek with their ego. To stress this point Sambandhar highlights in every ninth song of all his Padhikams, their futile explorationof the top and bottom of the Lord Shiva.  தொழுவார்க்கே அருளுவது சிவபெருமான் எனத் தொழார்   வழுவான மனத்தாலே மாலாய மால் அயனும்    இழிவாகும் கருவிலங்கும் பறவையுமாய் எய்தாமை       விழுவார்கள் அஞ்செழுத்தும் துதித்து உய்ந்த படி விரித்தார்                                               - திருத்தொண்டர் புராணம் 1976
