गा॒थप॑तिं मे॒धप॑तिं रु॒द्रं जला॑षभेषजम् ।
तच्छं॒योः सु॒म्नमी॑महे ॥

gAthapatiM medhapatiM rudraM jalAShabheShajam |
tacChaMyoH sumnamImahe ||

Meaning of the Prayer Mantra:

गाथपतिं मेधपतिं रुद्रं जलाषभेषजम् । तत् शंयोः सुम्नम् ईमहे ॥

We worship Lord Rudra, Who is the master of the songs, Who is the master of the rites, Who is the essense of water and medicines, to provide us the Bliss!

1. The Supreme Lord is the master of the songs and worship.
