புகவே தகேன் உனக்கு அன்பருள் யான் என் பொல்லாமணியே
தகவே எனை உனக்காட்கொண்ட தன்மை எப்புன்மையரை
மிகவே உயர்த்தி விண்ணோரைப் பணித்தி அண்ணா அமுதே
நகவே தகும் எம்பிரான் என்னை நீ செய்த நாடகமே.

Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 I am unfit to enter among those who love You, oh my unperforated Gem!
Is it appropriate to take me into Your fold?
Whatever mean people are, highly raising them up,
making the celestials salute, oh the Supreme, Ambrosia,
it is ridiculous, my Lord, the drama you made with me!

 Notes: 

1. This is a song to be felt than just to be understood.
Thinking about it, how mean I am?! There is no limit to
the shortcomings and flaws of me! Can I even in the wildest
dreams imagine to be in the company of those devotees
who withheld nothing for the love of God. 
  Having seen my mean lowness, the Omniscient Lord Shiva
should have scorned at me and pushed me aside. 
But what did He do? He lifted me so up that even the life
of the heavenly beings seemed mean to me.
  How ridiculous is this drama God played!!

2. Isn't this the Gracious Lord is trying to do with all of us?
Caring more than a mother, realizing our meanness,
the Supreme continuously works to take us to the state
of Bliss. In what way can we thank this favor?
