Here, Mahabaleswara(Siva) is present in the Atmalinga with Gokarnanayaki(Parvathy Devi). Darshan is towards west. It is also part of the 7 Mukthisthalas viz, Tamil, Udipu, Kollur, Subrahmanya, Kumbasi, Kodeswara and Gokarnam. We should take darshan after having a bath in the sea. Upadevas are Ganapathy, Chandikeshwara, Adigokarneswan, Dattathreyan. Here, Koditheerthakulam is there which is believed to be dug by Garuda. Near the pond, one Krishna templa and Venkateshwara temple is there.
