In Adelaide South Australia is the gaNesh temple in a suburb Oaklands park.
The temple is situated very near to the railway (Metro) station. The trains that go towards Noarlunga from the city central stops in this Oaklands park station.
This temple is being maintained by the Hindu Society of South Australia. The society was formed in 1985 to serve the hindu community. In January 1986 the holy inauguration of the Ganesh temple happened. The Ganesh idol was brought from South India and ceremoniously installed. From 1991 the service of a priest who took over the daily worship was acquired by the temple. The worships are happening in the morning and the evening everyday in a ritualistic mannar.
In the central garba griha(Sanctum Sanctorum ) the elephant headed Lord is there. There are mUrtis of Lord shiva, shakti and skanda.
The temple is open everyday both in the morning and the evenings. On Fridays and festival days the temple will be open for more time. Mornings
