கெட்ட நாள் இவை என்றலால் கருதேன் கிளர் புனற் காவிரி
வட்ட வாசிகை கொண்டடி தொழுதேத்து பாண்டிக் கொடுமுடி
நட்டவா உனை நான் மறக்கினும் சொல்லும் நா நமச்சிவாயவே.

Meaning of song:

(Even) The days that those who hail Your - our Beloved - feet,
condemned, forgot or considered bad, I do not bother.
Oh the Dancer at thiruppANDikkoDumuDi saluted by
the roaring flood kAviri with the round garlands,
even if I forget You, the tongue will say namaHshivAya!

Notes:
1. There are no days - no time - not suitable for chanting
namahshivAya. This mantra is the life line and hence to be
chanted anywhere anytime by anyone with devotion. 
When such an ardent practice is made, even if one fails
to make conscious effort to chant, the habit of the tongue
would bring back one to track of chanting and rejoicing 
in this holy mantra.
