எறிக்கும் கதிர் வேய் உதிர் முத்தமொடு 
    ஏலம் இலவங்கம் தக்கோலம் இஞ்சி
செறிக்கும் புனலுட் பெய்துகொண்டு மண்டித்
    திளைத்தெற்றும் சிற்றாறதன் கீழ்க்கரைமேல்
முறிக்கும் தழை மா முடப்புன்னை ஞாழல் 
    குருக்கத்திகள் மேற் குயில் கூவலறா
வெறிக்கும் கலைமா வெஞ்சமாக்கூடல் 
    விகிர்தா அடியேனையும் வேண்டுதியே.

Translation of song:

On the eastern bank of the ciRRARu that 
strews the shiny pearls dropped by the shaken bamboo,
cardamom, clove, long pepper and ginger
that are enriched in its flood,
oh the One of strange deeds at thiruvenycamAkkUDal,
where the kuyil never stops singing over the
mango of branches breaking due to heaviness,
punnai of skewed branches, kunkumam tree and
kurukkaththi and stags stare (at the sound),
do You need me, the slave, too?!

Notes:
1. An excellent padhikam where cundharar so humbly 
asking the Lord shiva, "Do You consider me too?!"
(This padhikam is very rich with the poetic depiction
of the nature.)
2. vikirthan - Name of God at thiruvenycamAkkUDal
abode. Meaning - One of strange deeds - different
from that of the souls.
