அடியராயினீர் சொல்லுமின் அறிகின்றிலேன் அரன் செய்கையைப்
படியெலாந் தொழுதேத்து கண்டியூர் வீரட்டத்துறை பான்மையான்
முடிவுமாய் முதலாய் இவ்வையம் முழுதுமாய் அழகாயதோர்
பொடியதார் திருமார்பினிற் புரிநூலும் பூண்டெழு பொற்பதே.

He wears the thread !

1. Child when grows as a boy and is able to manage the personal
responsibilities, one set of tread is worn. When the person gets the
duty of supporting a family one more set of thread is put on. When
the person is required to support an extended family one more set
of thread gets added. Why does the God, Who does not have
any duty of His own, wear the thread ?!
