Meaning of Sundharar Thevaram

Cool dense matted hair with dreaded snake, feather of crane,
cool great datura (Umaththam), similarly Your Feet,
along with the devotees - well learnt and experienced -
thinking of Your glory, with a melted heart hailing
and singing, by this process (they) become You,
realizing this I, slave, in brimming love with them,
palms full of flowers, with the agony of my eyes
vanishing, in deep love when will I, slave, worship,
the Bull of kAnappEr surrounded by dense fields ?

Notes

1. cundharar saluted the Lord at thiruccuziyal and
stayed there. God came in his dreams in an enchanting
marvelous unseen bull form and reminded him to come
to thirukkAnappEr. That youthful form of God got imbibed
in his mind, cundharar sang this song reaching at
kALaiyAr kOvil (thirukkAnappEr). In the complete
padhikam the saint vividly hails the form of God.
2. kUdhal - cool; kOLaravu - harmful snake;
maththam - Umaththam; aN^gai - palm; allal - suffering.
