Meaning:
Having very many desires those who are ruffled
- in their mind, the elephant that roams stirring around
- by name gaNapathi, powerful two lights (sun, moon),
kailAsh mount that reaches to the sky, meritorious
flow of river keDilam - One Who has, we are His kin.
We are not afraid of anything;
Nor is there a thing that we would be afraid of.
Notes:
1. gaNapathi is hailed as vigna rAja. Those who
have the desires going in all the directions
being hostage to their own desires, gaNapathi roams
around in their bewildered minds. When one decides
to come out of the drag around and tend to focus on
God as the hold, gaNapathi removes their hurdles
and bestows with the wisdom required to realize God.
c.f. thanathaDi vazipaDum avar iDar kaDi gaNapathi vara
- cambandhar

2. Fear comes when there is an element that is powerful
enough to hurt our interest. But even when we do not
have the adequate power to defend against those forces
on our own, as long as we have in our side somebody
with stronger power, there is no need to fear. When we
have the Almighty God with us, can there be anything
that can potentially frighten us ? When the realization
occurs to the devotee that the Lord shiva is protecting
and It is both Almighty as well as Merciful, the fear
vanishes.
