திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்

மனையுள் இருந்தவர் மாதவர் ஒப்பர்
நினைவுள் இருந்தவர் நேசத்துள் நிற்பர்
பனையுள் இருந்த பருந்தது போல
நினையாதவர்க்கு இல்லை நீள் இன்பந்தானே.

Meaning of tirumoolar thirumandthiram:

One who is in household would be thought alongside of great ascetic !
One who stays in the thinking, would stand in the intimate love !
Like the hawk that resides in the palm tree, 
one who does not think (God) will not get the Bliss !

Notes:
1. Staying in the thoughts of God is important irrespective
of whether the devotee is in household or an ascetic.
When thinking of God the devotee in household gets
the greatness of ascetic and the ascetic gets to live
in the love and support of Lord shiva.
   When not remembered like the kite that does not
enjoy the benefit of the tree it is staying, one wastes
precious body by not using it to get to eternal Bliss.
