thiruchchiRRambalam
Meaning:
Oh the flowers of the land (kaNDakam, muNDakam,
kaithai & n^eythal), One in ash smeared form,
the Lord of pazanam where the singing never stops,
He knows the day on which plunging in to the water,
where the beetles roam around, He accepted my
tenderness. Will He leave without pursuing ?
Notes:
1. The heroine in this agaththuRai song was like
the person who never knew the glory of the
realization of God. One fine day it occurred.
Having enjoyed the never-known-before Glory
of God, the devotee now yearns to be always
with the Lord Who is the Eternal Bliss. The pursuit
to catch Him would continue till He reveals and
accepts this devotee without leaving.
>2. paNDaraNga - is the dance the Lord plays on the
ash filled ground (after burning tripura).
pANdu means white. Ranga is the stage or dais.
So pANduranga means the one on the white dais.
pANduranga and paNdarangan are the different forms of the
word. When Lord shiva burnt tripuras, their ashes formed a
dais. The God danced on that white ash dais, so He is
called pANDuranga or paNDarangan.
c.f. kaliththokai - kaDavuL vAzththu
