திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்

வானவர்கள் தானவர்கள் வாதைபட
    வந்ததொரு மாகடல் விடம்
தானமுது செய்து அருள்புரிந்த சிவன்
    மேவுமலை தன்னை வினவில்
ஏனம் இள மானினொடு கிள்ளை தினை
    கொள்ள எழிலார் கவணினால்
கானவர் தம் மாமகளிர் கனகமணி
    விலகு காளத்தி மலையே.

kAnavar tham mAmakaLir kanakamaNi
    vilagu kALaththimalaiyE.

Meaning:
If asked which is the mountain of the shiva, 
Who blessed consuming the poison of the ocean
that came as the killer to those of the worlds above
and worlds below (devas & asuras), 
with the pig and deer, parrot taking away thinai
grains, (to prevent which) the great girls of the
foresters throw the beautiful slings which are 
nothing but golden gems - such is the thirukkALaththi
mountain (kAlahsthi).

1. Enam - pig; kiLLai - parrot; kavaN - sling - thrown to
drive away the birds; kanakam - gold.
