ஆற்றரு நோய் மிக்கு அவனி மழையின்றிப்
போற்றரு மன்னரும் போர் வலி குன்றுவர்
கூற்றுதைத்தான் திருக்கோயில்களெல்லாம் 
சாற்றிய பூசைகள் தப்பிடில் தானே.

Difficult to cure diseases would spread wide;
Land would be devoid of rain;
Even the praised kings would be reduced in valor;
