குலம் கொடுத்துக் கோள் நீக்க வல்லான் தன்னைக்
    குலவரையன் மடப்பாவை இடப்பாலானை
மலங்கெடுத்து மாதீர்த்தம் ஆட்டிக் கொண்ட
    மறையவனைப் பிறைதவழ் செஞ்சடையினானைச்
சலங்கெடுத்துத் தயாமூல தன்மம் என்னுந்
    தத்துவத்தின் வழி நின்று தாழ்ந்தோர்க்கெல்லாம் 
நலங்கொடுக்கும் நம்பியை நள்ளாற்றானை
    நானடியேன் நினைக்கப் பெற்று உய்ந்தவாறே.

Meaning of thirunavukkarasar thevaram:

The Provider of (good) tradition, 
the One Capable of removing of ill-effects,
the One Who has the daughter of the grand mountain in the left,
the vEdin Who removed the filth and bathed in the holy water and enslaved,
the Red-Matted-Haired Lord with the crawling crescent,
our Beloved Who is Meritorious to those who get rid of vehemence 
and bow down standing in the path of "mercy-based-discipline",
the Lord of thirunaLLARu, Him, I the slave, got to think of and uplifted !
