செண்டாடும் விடையாய் சிவனே என் செழுஞ்சுடரே
வண்டாரும் குழலாள் உமைபாகம் மகிழ்ந்தவனே
கண்டார் காதலிக்கும் கணநாதன் எம் காளத்தியாய்
அண்டா உன்னையல்லால் அறிந்தேத்த மாட்டேனே.

Meaning:
Oh the One with the bull that swiftly moves,
Lord shiva, my Splendid Light, One Who is pleased
having uma of beetle singing plait in one part, 
my Lord of all gaNas Who is loved by anyone who sees,
Lord of universe, other than You, I won't hail knowingly 
(anyone).

Notes:
1. kaNDar kAthalikkum - c.f kaNNappar who had never been 
adhering to worship of Lord shiva became instantaneously 
an ardent lover of God just at the sight of the Lord.
2. gaNan^Athan - Lord of gaNas. There are 18 gaNas -
divine, siddha, asura, daitya, garuDa, kinnara, niruta, 
kimpuruDa, gAndharva, yaksha, vidyAdhara, bhUta,
pishAcha, antara, muni, uraga, AkAshavAsi, bhOgabhUmiyar.
