ஏர் தரும் ஏழுலகேத்த எவ்வுருவும் தன் உருவாம்
ஆர் கலி சூழிலங்கை அழகமர் வண்டோதரிக்கு
பேரருள் இன்பம் அளித்த பெருந்துறை மேய பிரானை
சீரிய வாயாற் குயிலே தென் பாண்டி நாடனைக் கூவாய்

Meaning of Tiruvasagam

    
Praised by the nice seven worlds;
One Who has every form as His form;
The Lord residing at thirupperunthuRai,
Who gave the grand grace Bliss to the
beautiful vaNDOdhari of roaring ilangai;
One of south pANDi kingdom -
oh kuyil with your nice voice, call!

2. rAvaNan, in spite of his great talents
erred on the basics many times - even
with the Lord shiva. So, our four saints who 
speak high of vAli, who was also killed by rAma,
condemn the demonic act of rAvaNa lifting the

   However, his wife, vaNDOdhari, was of great character.
On top of it, she was a great devotee of the Lord shiva.
Here, mANikkavAsagar exclaims the grace the Lord
did to this great queen of shrIlanka.
