Meaning of Tiruvasagam

You saved me out from getting into the quality of the fools
of trying to drink from the mirage thinking, "this is the
water of blooming pond!" Oh the Artist Who dances
at the common hall of the brilliant thillai,
in order to unite with Your Perfect foot, (let us play) aim the shoulder!

Notes

1. We started our journey in search of Bliss long back.
How many disillusionments on the way?
What we thought of as happiness was less than
fulfilling if not total insidious disaster altogether.
Even when the soul realizes the need to progress
towards God and starts the spiritual journey,
still how many disillusionments on the way!
All kinds of groups, half-baked or even rootless arguments,
blind faiths, ego clashes, rituals without spirituality
and countless more... The journey is treacherous
and many get entrapped somewhere or the other.
It is the grace of Lord shiva that navigates one
who is able to hold on to It, safely through this way.
Our saint thanks here the Lord Who has saved him
and brought to unite in the Lord's glorious foot.

(It is very useful and recommended to read the
following to understand from our saint this treacherous journey
a. pORRith thiruakaval till "thAyE Agi vaLarththanai pORRi"
/thirumurai/eighth-thirumurai-thiruvasagam/210/%20porrith-thiruagaval
b. thiruvaNDap pakuthi from line 126 to 145
/thirumurai/eighth-thirumurai-thiruvasagam/209/thiruvandap-pagudhi )

2. punal - water; pEyththEr - mirage.
