ஆயின அந்தணர் வாய்மை அரைக்கலை கைவளைகள்
போயின வாள்நிகர் கண்ணுறு மைந்நீர் முலையிடையே
பாயின வேள் கைக் கரபத்திரத்துக்குச் சூத்திரம் போல்
ஆயின பல்சடையார்க்கு அன்பு பட்ட எம் ஆயிழைக்கே.

What kind-hearted (learned) people told became true !
The waist band and the bangles are lost;
The eyelash-dyeful tears flow through the breasts,
for our pretty girl who got into love with the Lord,
Whose matted hair is like the twine that straps the
weapon in the hand of cupid !

Notes:
1. The foster-mother (world) realizes the intensity the love 
can get to with God, as told by the learned devotees,
by looking at her young girl (devotee) who is in love
with Lord shiva.
