அன்னமாய் விசும்பு பறந்தயன் தேட
    அங்ஙனே பெரிய நீ சிறிய
என்னை ஆள் விரும்பி என்மனம் புகுந்த
    எளிமையை என்றும் நான் மறக்கேன்
முன்னம் மால் அறியா ஒருவனாம் இருவா 
    முக்கணா நாற்பெருந் தடந்தோட்
கன்னலே தேனே அமுதமே கங்கை
    கொண்ட சோளேச்சரத்தானே.

Meaning of karuvoorthevar thiruvisaippa:

brahma searches for You in the skies as swan.
Such grand You, to enslave me, the small one, 
got into my mind ! This simplicity of You I will never 
forget. The One Who was unexplorable for viShNu !
Two-form Lord (ardhanArIshwarar) ! Three-eyed !
Sugar with four large strong shoulders ! Honey !
Ambrosia ! Oh Lord of gangaikoNDa Cholapuram !

Notes:
1. In the last but one line karuvUrth thEvar hails God
nicely by ascending numbers. (There are similar verses 
in thirumuRai. thiruvezukURRirukkai of sambandhar plays with
these numbers.)
