திருச்சிற்றம்பலம்

மெய்த்தானத்து அகம்படியுள் ஐவர் நின்று
    வேண்டிற்றுக் குறைமுடித்து வினைக்குக் கூடாம்
இத்தானத்து இருந்து இங்ஙன் உய்வானெண்ணும்
    இதனை ஒழி இயம்பக்கேள் ஏழை நெஞ்சே
மைத்தான நீள் நயனி பங்கன் வங்கம்
    வருதிரை நீர் நஞ்சுண்ட கண்டன் மேய
நெய்த்தான நன்னகர் என்று ஏத்தி நின்று
    நினையுமா நினைந்தக்கால் உய்யலாமே.

Oh poor mind! Inside the body gratifying the five (senses),
staying in the shell of all vinai, do not think this is the way
to be uplifted! Listen to this! Hailing thiruneyththAnam as the 
residence of the Partner of dyed-long-eye Lady, 
One with the throat that ate the poison of the boat moving
tidal ocean, when you think in the way to be thought,
upliftment is possible.
