Meaning:
As if wearing the stars, oh the Valiant Who is adorned with
the heads (skulls) on Your head and with fire like snakes,
You are leaving me off ! If You discard me, when the people
greater than me inquire who I am, I would say, "I am the slave
of the perfect devotees of the King of uththara kOca maN^gai.",
thus making You smile (back at me).
Notes:
1. Under the influence of the three-fold filth, we do things
that are inappropriate. As the father, our God acts as if
He is angry in order to make us feel our mistake. (If God
really decides to discard us, there would never be any
possibility of glory for the soul. But the all Merciful God
never discards any soul however big be the mistake
committed, but encourages those who hold on to the
right path by making them enter Its Bliss at the earliest.)
Now from the glorious state of Its devotion the soul is
left out. Now the way for the individual is to show devotion
to the devotees of the God. Like the son who comes behind
the mother who advocates with father to pardon the errant
son, these great devotees given their closeness due to
sincerity plead to God making the God forgive and take us
back in to Its great fold. Such great is the devotion to the
devotees.
2. thArakai - star; thazal - fire; ara - snake
