    இதுவோஎமை யாளுமா றீவதொன் றெமக்கில்லையேல் 
    அதுவோவுன தின்னருள் ஆவடு துறையரனே.

Meaning of Thevaram

  
Whether troubled, withered out or my suffering continues,  
I will still continue to worship Your Ornated Feet, Oh the 
Chanter vedhas, Who contained the poison, that came along 
the nectar from the ocean, in Your throat ! 
Is this is the way You govern us ?! If there is nothing  
You provide us, is that Your sweet Grace, Oh hara of  
thiruvAvaDuthuRai !
