Meaning:
That statement and the shelter of pearl coming up in
the sky, the piLLaiyAr of cirapuram (cambanthar) who
realizes the Perfect Real Wisdom saying, "If this is
the glorious grace of God, then it should be
accepted.", with the hairs standing in wonder bowed
down on the earth.
Notes:
1. This song describes the grace God did giving
cambanthar the pearl shade so that he is not affected
by the heat of the sun.
2. A very important thing to note in the life of
cambanthar is that he completely gave himself to Lord
shiva. He did not ask anything God. He did ask in two
occasions. Both the occasions it was for supporting
the devotees (thiruvIzimizalai & thiruvAvaDu thuRai)
but he did not try to get any benefit for himself. He
accepted whatever God gave to him with heartful
devotion. He is like the child that is carried by the
mother. The child does not have too much of free
roaming. But the mother would fondle the kid with
great care. That is the glory of cambanthar's love.
One could realize this both from cEkkizAr's
description of his history and his own thEvAram hymns.
(He does not subdue himself in his padhikams whereas
feels proud because of the association with God.)
