மண்ணிற் கலங்கிய நீர்போல் மனிதர்கள்
எண்ணிற் கலங்கி இறைவன் இவனென்னார்
உண்ணிற் குளத்தின் முகந்தொருபால் வைத்துத்
தெண்ணிற் படுத்த சிவனவனாமே

Explanation of thirumoolar thirumantiram:

Like the water that has become muddy,
humans also get bewildered while thinking 
and unable to pin point this is God.
If that water is picked up from the pond,
kept aside, allowed to settle, it becomes
clear like the realization of God shiva.

Notes:
1. As long as mixing up so many things,
jumping from one to another, the seeker 
is not likely to get to the realization of God.
Picking up the amount of information 
digestible and processing it through right
steps to reach clarity, one can get to realize 
the God Siva.
