Meaning of the Prayer Hymn:
Indra is the one who went the nearest to touch;
He is the foremost to know that It is the Omnipresent God;
Therefore, he is considered the excellent among all othe divines.
Notes:
1. nEdiShTham - nearest; pasparsha - touch.
2. This verse explains why Indra is considered the foremost of
the divines. He had the Tapas to get the closest to the
Supreme Shiva, Who appeared as the Yaksha. He was also
blessed to have Mother Uma clarifying to him that it was indeed the
Supreme Lord.
