Meaning of the Prayer Song:
Oh Kapardi! The Shruti "yamai namaH tasmai tvA juShTam niyunajmi" salutes You when the animal is tied.
The other, "yasmai namaH tat shiraH" salutes You on the head of the Shishumara.
Through these two it is possible to conclude that You are the One salutable.
Notes:
1. anUdya - to speak of; niyOjana - tied; kapardin - with braided hair;
shishumAra - dolphin; ittham - thus; vidhAtu - grant.
2. yamai namastasmai tvA juShtanniyunajmi - Ashvalayana Grhyasutra 4.8.15
