Meaning of the Prayer Song:
Oh Shiva, the Protector of the protectorless! Who created the practice of
taking refuge in You saying "Oh Deva! Please lift me up, who is refugeless
- distressed by the sorrows beyond limit!"
Alas! What better prayer than that can I hinge on to?
Please protect me immediately, thinking about the state of this thing!
Notes:
1. atyanta - beyomd limits; vyathita - distressed; kShuNNa - practice;
Alambe - hanging from; bata - alas; trAyasva - protect; sapadi - immediately.
2. Our ancestors have shown the path of taking refuge at Lord Shiva.
What better can we do?
