Meaning of the Prayer Song:
Oh Shiva! May those who want to pass time in whatever way
shall discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the grass like others who are not God.
Oh Lord! Whichever has been established verily by the Brahma and the lofty
as the essence of all subtle knowledge that (Shiva) is our authority!
Notes:
1. amIShAm - subordinate divines; balbajAnAm - grass like;
kAlakShepa - killing time; niShkRuShya - extract.
2. People may be willing to pass time discussing merits and demerits of
grass like mean others (other than God). In the analysis paralysis
when will they come to know the Supreme Shiva, Who is the quintessence?
The great wisdom established by Brahma and others make it very clear
that Shiva is the One to be meditated upon. That is the authority we look for
and we would spend the time in the meditation of the Lord Shiva
rather than pointless debates.
