ऋषि    :    भार्गवॊ जमदग्नि
दॆवता    :    पवमानः सॊमः
छन्दस्    :    गायत्री

आ॒वि॒शन्क॒लशं॑ सु॒तॊ विश्वा॒ अर्ष॑न्न॒भि श्रियः॑ ।
शूरॊ॒ न गॊषु॑ तिष्टति ॥ ९.६२.१९ ॥

dEvatA    :    pavamAnaH sOmaH
Chandas    :    gAyatrI

AvishankalashaM sutO vishvA arShannabhi shriyaH |
shUrO na gOShu tiShTati || 9.62.19 ||

( Avishan kalashaM sutO vishvA arShan abhi shriyaH |
shUrO na gOShu tiShTati || )

Meaning of the Prayer Mantra:


 Squeezed into the pitcher; 
One that gives all welfare;
Stands as a hero amidst the cows!


 Notes: 


1. Avishan - get into; sutaH - squeezed; abhyarShan - showering.

2. This hymn describes the elixir (somarasam) in the pot used for offering
to the Divine.

3. Samaveda mantra comes with a different second part as
आ॒वि॒शन्क॒लशं॑ सु॒तॊ विश्वा॒ अर्ष॑न्न॒भि श्रियः॑ ।
इन्दु॒रि॑न्द्राय दीयतॆ ॥
