दॆवता : द्यावापृथिवि
छन्दस् : जगती

घृ॒तव॑ती॒ भुव॑नानामभि॒श्रियॊ॒र्वी पृ॒थ्वी म॑धु॒दुघॆ॑ सु॒पॆश॑सा ।
द्यावा॑पृथि॒वी वरु॑णस्य॒ धर्म॑णा॒ विष्क॑भितॆ अ॒जरॆ॒ भूरि॑रॆतसा ॥ ६.७०.१ ॥

Meaning of the Prayer Mantra:
Oh the sky and earth! How fertile are you!
You are resort for all creatures!
Wide and spacious, pleasant and beautiful you are!
You both stay relative to each other protecting the water,
ever young, rich in creative elements!
Notes:
1. ghRutavatI - fertile; abhishriya - to resort to; urvI - wide; pRuthvI - expansive;
madhudugha - yielding sweetness; supEshas - beautiful; dyAvApRuthivi - sky and earth;
viShkabhit - held; ajara - ever young; bhUri - much.
2. The grandeur of the creation of Lord Shiva is extolled in this hymn.
The great view of the wide and spacious sky and earth that we call as home
inspires us to sing the glory of Lord Shiva, Who created such a great home for us!!
Let us celebrate the Lord Shiva seeing Him in every bit of the nature!
