Meaning of the Prayer Hymn:
Having known thus, one stays in the Truth.
By not knowing thus one is at a great loss!
The brave who realizes at all beings,
raising above the mortal world, stays eternal!
Notes:
1. avEdit - has known; prEtya - hereafter.
2. Having known thus
This refers to the essence of this chapter of the upanishad
said in the previous verses - i.e. The Supreme Shiva cannot be
known fully, nor totally unknown. One who moves with the dawn
of experience the Supreme gives with the courage and the wisdom
gets to eternal Bliss.
Such a person will realize the Supreme in everything seen.
So that person raises above the mortal coil and stays ever at
Eternal Bliss!
