Meaning of the Prayer Song:
You either pardon all my past and future offenses or
teach my mind a lesson that indulges in the misdeeds!
Oh Lord! It is not appropriate for You discard me,
who is in unsurpassed suffering,
surrendered at Your Feet, resting at You all the load I am carrying!
Notes:
1. kShantavya - pardon; nikhilam - completely; vyalIka - untruthful;
vyApAra - transaction; niratishaya - unsurpassed; prahAtum - relinquish.
2. When one commits a mistake, the loving people
either pardon the mistake or make the other realize the mistake
by teaching a lesson. If they discard the one who committed the mistake,
it is the most painful! Appayya Dikshithar pleads the Lord Shiva to
either pardon or teach a lesson to the sinful mind, but never discard
from His Grace!
