ऋषि : बार्हस्पत्यॊ भरद्वाज
दॆवता : अग्नि
छन्दस् : गायत्रि
ॐ
अग्न॒ आया॑हि वी॒तयॆ॑ गृणा॒नॊ ह॒व्यदा॑तयॆ ।
निहॊता॑ सत्सि ब॒र्हिषि॑ ॥ ६.१६.१० ॥

dEvatA : agniH
Chandas : gAyatri

agna AyAhi vItayE gRuNAnO havyadAtayE |
nihOtA satsi barhiShi || 6.16.10 ||

Meaning of the Prayer Mantra:
Oh Agni, praised by us, please come to bless with the nourishments,
as the priest seated on the darbha grass.
Notes:
1. vIta - pleasant; gRuNAnaH - praised; havya - offering;
nisatsi - sit; barhiShi - darbha grass.
2. This Rig vedic hymn is also the base for the first Samagana.
3. It is important to recollect that through the various names
it is only Lord Shiva, the Supreme is hailed. For details please refer to

4. He is the priest as well to guide us in the divine path.
