Meaning of the Prayer Song:

 People get rid of all the sins acquired in the worldly life
by focusing on Your Feet at the time when the breath ceases (death)!
But, oh the Destroyer of three puras, what if my mind becomes busy
due to the three-fold miseries (due to self, world and divine)
and loses consciousness (of You)?

 Notes:

1. kShepa - dismiss; samsRuti - worldly; AgaH - sin; prashama - cease;
dOshatrayam - three miseries (adhyatmika, Adhibhautika, Adhidaivika)
ghaT - be busy with.
2. Even at the time of death if one surrenders to Lord Shiva
that would eliminate all the sins and show that soul the brilliant
route to Bliss.
Many people postpone the worship of God to the later part of
life thinking they could make good later.
However, there is no guaranty that our mind would get fixed at
the feet of God at the time of death. So the earliest one starts
in the worship of God, that is the smartest person in the world.
c.f. Worship early in life Appar.
