Meaning of the Prayer Song:

Oh Lord crowned with cresent! One saluted by the world!
Violating Your order, leaving aside the manners, like an animal,
free from shame I am wandering!
With the long list of offence accumulated over various births,
how can I cross the ocean of distress without Your favour?

 Notes:

1. ullaMghya - violate; uDupati - moon; pashuvat - like animal; adhuna - now; lajja - shame; klesha - distress; ambhodhi - ocean; RutE - without; tara - cross across.
